What are they?
The KINO BT polyvalent bass traps (low-frequency acoustic absorbers) can be used as bass traps, when installed at corners, or installed on flat surfaces, as broadband absorbent panels. They are very effective products for attenuating the effects of room resonant modes, commonly associated with the 'boomy effect' (low-frequency accumulation) that is often heard in untreated rooms.
They are made of our high performance ZHFR acoustic foam which, due to its extra thickness (120mm), gives an extraordinary sound absorption performance over a wide frequency range (broadband absorption). They are the ideal complement for accompanying acoustic treatments with KINO panels.
What is the application used for?
The perfect product for the acoustic treatment of dedicated or non-dedicated rooms used for playing music and home cinema.
Specific treatment for controlling and reducing reverberation at low frequency, reducing acoustic anomalies in rooms ('boom' effect, echo...), and as a broadband absorber to control low-medium, medium and high frequency reverberation.
What is their format?
- Bass traps / panels of: 600mm x 600mm x 120mm
- Boxes of: 4 units. - area coverage = 1.44 m2
- Normal packaging: 62cm x 62cm x 48cm (0.19m3 / 5 Kg.)
How much do I need?
It is advisable to install the same number of bass traps in each corner of the room, to maintain the balance and symmetry.
The following image contains a rough guide with the number of units installed and the degree of sound absorption obtained.
Light | 2 units in each corner; useful for small-medium non-dedicated rooms. |
---|---|
Medium | 3 units in each corner; non-dedicated medium rooms or small dedicated rooms. |
Dark | 4 units in each corner; maximum absorption for large rooms or dedicated rooms. |
* it is usual to start the installation with the 'light' assembly, in order to check the result obtained. If you want more absorption, add more units to get the 'medium' or 'dark' absorption degree.
