What are they?
KINO are sound absorbers with a simple, pleasant design; they have smooth arcs that create discrete aesthetic patterns. An effective product over a wide range of frequencies with a balanced medium-high frequency performance.
They are made with our special ZHFR acoustic foam, with an improved porosity coefficient to obtain a high performance in sound absorption. Designed in 60mm-thick acoustic foam that is 20% thicker than the standard panels available in the market (50mm).
... inspiration
A design based on the simplicity and smoothness of curves to create environments with relaxed, comfortable acoustics; the perfect places in which to concentrate our senses and enjoy the audiovisual experience.
What is the application used for?
These panels have been specially created for the acoustic treatment of dedicated / non-dedicated rooms used for playing music and home cinema...
They reduce reverberation, echo and resonant modes, minimising the "room factor", for more natural, clean listening, in accordance with the expected quality level of the reproduction system devices.
They are normally used with the Kino BT bass trap, for sound absorption treatments in: home cinema, Hi-fi, recording / rehearsal rooms...
What is their format?
- Panels measuring: 600mm x 600mm x thickness of 60mm
- Boxes of: 8 units. - area coverage = 2.88 m2
- Normal packaging: 62cm x 62cm x 48cm (0.19m3 / 5 Kg.)
How much do I need?
The following table gives a guide of the estimated reverberation time depending on the size of the room and the number of panels installed.
correct | acceptable** | excess / low | ||
RT60 at 1kHz [seconds] | Room without treat. * | SKLC006 8 uts. panel | SKLC006 x2 16 uts. panel | SKLC006 x3 24 uts. panel |
---|---|---|---|---|
12m2 -- h=2.5m | 1.82 | 0.97 | 0.66 | 0.50 |
18m2 -- h=2.5m | 2.03 | 1.23 | 0.88 | 0.69 |
27m2 -- h=2.5m | 2.22 | 1.50 | 1.14 | 0.91 |
* The results are obtained by estimation in a standard room with the following finishes: plaster walls and plaster ceiling, parquet floor, one window and a wooden door.
** The 'acceptable' result is suitable for rooms that contain additional furniture (curtains, carpets, bookcases, chairs with fabric upholstery, sofas...)
