What are they?
SCHÄCK is a highly efficient sound-absorbing panel with a simple, pleasant design. It is perfect for acoustic treatment of home studios and recording studios.
It is manufactured entirely from high-performance ZHFR foam, incorporating resonance chambers that improve its efficiency, and offering a high level absorption at medium and high frequency. Its reticulated design enables it to adapt to a multitude of wall and roof spaces and form a continuous surface free of visible fissures, therefore providing aesthetic advantages in comparison with other models.
... inspiration
Its profile, which resembles a chessboard, hides a framework of air chambers that make the panel stand out visually over the wall.
What is the application used for?
SCHÄCK is the perfect panel for the acoustic treatment of home studios, recording rooms and professional environments. It corrects reverberation in the room and enables the precise control of first reflections, therefore achieving a clearer, more defined and more professional acoustic setting.
What is their format?
- Panels measuring: 600mm x 600mm x thickness of 50mm
- Boxes of: 6 units. - area coverage = 2.16 m2
- Normal packaging: 62cm x 62cm x 32cm (0.12m3 / 5 Kg.)
How much do I need?
The following table gives a guide of the estimated reverberation time depending on the size of the room and the number of panels installed.
correct | acceptable** | excess / low | ||
RT60 at 1kHz [seconds] | Room without treat. * | SKAB010 6 uts. panel | SKAB010 x2 12 uts. panel | SKAB010 x3 18 uts. panel |
---|---|---|---|---|
6m2 -- h=2.5m | 1,40 | 0,73 | 0,49 | 0,37 |
10m2 -- h=2.5m | 1,47 | 0,84 | 0,58 | 0,45 |
12m2 -- h=2.5m | 1,49 | 0,91 | 0,65 | 0,51 |
* The results are obtained by estimation in a standard room with the following finishes: plaster walls and plaster ceiling, parquet floor, one window and a wooden door.
** The 'acceptable' result is suitable for rooms that contain additional furniture (curtains, carpets, bookcases, chairs with fabric upholstery, sofas...)
